Splinters from the Board

Wednesday’s Board of Trustees meeting was canceled due to scheduling conflicts and personal challenges. Our next meeting is scheduled for September 24 at 6:00 pm.

Below are several updates currently in progress:

• Bylaw Updates: The Board is proposing changes to the church bylaws, including committee structure and signatory rules. These proposed revisions will be shared with the congregation in advance of the upcoming Business Meeting.

• Upcoming Business Meeting: The upcoming UUCM Business Meeting is scheduled for September 28. Agenda items include a vote on the bylaw changes, election of a committee chair, and a vote on the apartheid statement.  

• Committee Fair: A committee fair is being planned to follow the September 28 Business Meeting. Committee chairs will have the opportunity to provide updates and invite members to become more involved.

• Event Calendar and Room Reservations: The church is addressing technical challenges with the calendar and room reservation process on our website, which have caused some confusion with event scheduling and notifications. Work is underway to streamline the system so that all events and reservations are clearly visible and accurately communicated.  We will keep you posted.
