Sign up to participate in our UU Meriden Neighborhoods program. Neighborhoods are groups of member households located geographically closest to each other. Their purpose is to create, strengthen, and deepen the relationships among members of the congregation who live near each other. They’re modeled on Mutual Aid Networks - grassroots groups that provide direct support and resources to community members in need, often outside of traditional state, government, corporate, or capitalist structures. These networks focus on solidarity, support, interdependence, spiritual and social enrichment, meeting basic needs, and direct action. See a full description of the program below and sign up here.
We will collect sign-ups for a few weeks with the hope of matching up members who are closest to each other by the end of May, so neighborhoods can have an initial meeting sometime over the summer.
