There’s a lot happening behind the scenes as we gear up for our Annual Meeting — here’s a quick look at what the Board has been working on!

At our monthly meeting, Treasurer Elaine Donovan presented a draft budget for the 2025–26 fiscal year, currently reflecting a $9,200 shortfall. The Board is actively exploring options to address the gap, and we’ll need your help and input as we move forward. A Budget Hearing is scheduled for Sunday, May 4, and our Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, May 18 — mark your calendars! At the Annual Meeting, members will vote on the proposed budget, elect new officers (Treasurer and Vice President), and vote to officially call Rev. Tony Lorenzen as our settled minister.

We also spent time reviewing safety and security measures. Updates are in the works, including revisions to our Safer Congregation Policy, locking exterior doors during services, upgrading the alarm system, and improving outdoor lighting to make our space feel welcoming and secure for all.

Here are a few additional updates:

  • The Pastoral Care Fund is nearly empty. This fund helps us respond to urgent needs within our congregation — please see below for ways you can help.

  • A small number of administrative tasks will be getting some part-time support in the weeks ahead. This is a temporary pilot to help assess our needs going forward and will be implemented with great care given our limited resources.

And yes — we made space for joy, too! This Sunday’s service will feature music, warmth, and celebration. We hope to see you there.
