Social Justice
LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-, Transgender, Intersex) Teen Safe Space, sponsored by Meriden/Wallingford Chrysalis, the Meriden Women & Families Center, and UUMeriden is continuing to have teens attend and is slowly growing. There are approximately 4-6 current volunteers from UUM. For more information contact Angie Swanger.

The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee - A nonsectarian organization advancing human rights and social justice throughout the United States and the world. Over half of the members of our congregation are individual members of UUSC.
Standing On The Side of Love - A UUA sponsored campaign which seeks to harness the power of love to stop oppression. As religious persons we stand beside members of the LGBT community, immigrants, and others who face oppression and call out for love, respect, inclusion, and compassion.

United Action of Central Connecticut - A broad-based interfaith alliance working to make real improvements in the lives of families and individuals. UUMeriden is proud to be a member congregation of UACT.
