This website is owned and operated by the Unitarian Universalist Church in Meriden, CT. As a religious faith community committed to upholding the principles of our religion including "The inherent worth and dignity of every person", we feel it is our obligation to protect the privacy of those who visit and use our site. The purpose of this policy is to outline how we carry out this obligation and how we protect information that is shared with us. This policy may be changed by directon of the Board of Trustees. How we use personal Information
We may ask for personal information on this site, such as your name, email address, or other contact information in order to respond for a request for information, registration for a church program, or some other specific purpose. This information will not be shared with any entity outside our church without permission, except that information collected for an event or program or event sponsored by or in conjunction with The Clara Barton District or the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations may be made available to the district or the UUA for the stated purpose.
No personal information is required to access any public portion of our website. A user name and password may be required to access certain portions of the site reserved for our members only in order to protect information provided by our members intended for other members of the congregation.
Cookies
A "cookie" is a small piece of data sent to your web browser to store information from a web site. No cookies are used to collect personal information or identify a visitor to this site. Cookies are used by our web server for only two purposes:
1. To count the number of unique visitors to our site.
2. To record a session security code for members who use the private portion of our site. These cookies are erased when the browser session is closed.
